Tech4Dev has launched the Women Techsters Fellowship Class 2024, with a goal to empower 3,000 women in Africa with digital skills.

Speaking in Lagos at the official launch and call for application, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Tech4Dev, Oladiwura Oladepo said that the Women Techster Fellowship is aimed at bridging the wide gender divide between men and women in the technology ecosystem as well as ensuring equal access to opportunities for all.

The initiative aims to bridge the gender gap in the technology ecosystem and provide equal opportunities for all.

Last year, the program received 14,782 applications, accepted 1,398 applicants, and graduated 847 women who are now being supported to land technology jobs. 

The Fellowship Class 2024 will open applications to 22 African countries and admit a total of 3,000 women and girls aged 16-40 with varying degrees of digital, deep tech, and soft skills.

The program starts in September 2023, and applications opened on April 27, 2023, at 6 PM West African Time.
