President Tinubu Signs Another Bill Into Law
According to sources within the presidential villa, President Bola Tinubu has officially signed the Electricity Act 2023 into law. This new legislation replaces the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 and aims to eliminate the monopoly in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. It grants the power to states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity.
