According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), the local production of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) by entities such as Dangote Refinery and Port Harcourt Refining Company will not result in a change in the pump price of the commodity. The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mele Kyari, clarified this during an interview on Arise television in Abuja on Thursday. Kyari further confirmed that the Dangote Refinery, inaugurated by former President Muhammadu Buhari on May 22, 2023, is expected to commence product distribution by the end of July or early August.
