On Wednesday, ride-hailing drivers, including those working for companies like Uber, Bolt, LagRide, and Indriver, commenced a nationwide strike.

This action is in response to the directive from the Amalgamated Union of App-based Transport Workers of Nigeria, instructing ride-hailing drivers to observe a sit-at-home order until the ride-hailing companies raise their base fares by 200 percent.
