Oil marketers are taking steps to adapt to the growing demand for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel source for vehicles. They are converting some of their trucks, previously used for transporting petrol to filling stations, into vehicles capable of supplying CNG to retail outlets.

Reports indicate that approximately 800 tankers are undergoing this conversion process to enable them to transport and dispense CNG to vehicles that run on gas.

This move reflects the industry's recognition of the increasing popularity and demand for CNG as an environmentally friendly fuel option.
